First Stitch: Beginner Sewing Class
Have you always wanted to learn to sew but weren't sure where to start? This class is the perfect place to begin!
Designed for beginners of all ages, First Stitch will introduce you to the basics of using a hand stitching while creating a simple, useful project you can proudly take home. Choose to make either a mug rug (a quilted coaster/pot holder) or a cozy boot cuff as you learn essential sewing skills like measuring, cutting, pinning, stitching, and finishing.
No sewing experience is necessary. If you have always wanted to try sewing, you'll receive step-by-step instruction in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
Come discover the joy of creating something with your own hands—and leave with both a finished project (or at least with a good start) and the confidence to keep sewing!
Ages: Older kids through adults
Skill Level: Absolute Beginner
Project Choices: Mug Rug or Boot CuffPrice: $40 per person (registration required)
P.S. Don’t have sewing supplies on hand? For an additional $10 we can have an essentials kit ready for you to use in class and take home.
We would love to hear from you!
